Training Curriculum
This curriculum is intended to support the ongoing professional development of individuals who already possess professional training, credentials, or supervised clinical contexts in which the material can be responsibly integrated.
Each module of Somatic Experiencing® training is held over multiple days and contributes to the total number of seminar hours required for completion of each level.
Participants may move through the program at their own pace; however, the structure is designed so that those who begin together in Beginning I can progress through the full sequence together.

It is highly recommended that the 12 hours of Personal SE Sessions and 18 Consult credits be spread out over the three years of the training. These may be distributed flexibly across levels.
Additional Requirements
- Personal SE sessions are completed with approved providers. Fees vary and are arranged directly with the practitioner. Some providers may offer sliding scale options.
- Individual case consults typically range from $150–$190
- Group consults are approximately $90–$110 for a 3-hour session
- Three hours of group consultation equals 1 hour of consult credit

Scope & Continuing Education Context
Most participants enter the program already working within established professional roles or graduate-level clinical training programs. Somatic Experiencing® training is part of a continuing education pathway developed by Somatic Experiencing International.
Any recognition of completion or use of the term Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP) is administered independently by Somatic Experiencing International and subject to their policies and requirements.
Completion of this continuing education program does not, on its own, grant licensure, professional registration, or authorization to independently practice any regulated profession. Participants are responsible for ensuring that any application of this work falls within their existing professional scope and complies with applicable regulations.
