Training Curriculum
Each module of Somatic Experiencing training is held over multiple days that make up the full number of seminar hours needed to complete the module. Students may go at their own pace, but the program is designed so that each group of students who starts in Beginning I together will be able to finish together in Advanced II. The details and requirements of each level are shown below:

It is highly recommended that the 12 hours of Personal SE Sessions and 18 Consult credits be spread out over the three years of the training. The exact number per level does not need to be completed as shown above.
The price for personal sessions from approved session providers varies and must be discussed with the practitioner. Some practitioners may have sliding scale options available – please inquire directly with them.
The average price for individual case consults: $150.00-$190.00
Group consults are 3 hours long and average $90 – $110.
Three hours of group consultation equals 1 hour of consult credit on the session log sheet.

Students can refer to themselves as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) once they have completed:
Three 24-hour modules of Beginning Level Somatic Experiencing Training (Beginning I, II, & III)
Three 24-hour modules of Intermediate Level Somatic Experiencing Training (Intermediate I, II, & III)
Two 36-hour modules of Advanced Level Somatic Experiencing Training (Advanced I & II)
12 hours of personal SE sessions with approved providers.
18 consult credits with approved providers. Please note, out of these 18 credit hours, a minimum of 4 credit hours must be individual and a minimum of 6 credit hours must be with Faculty. The 6 credit hours with Faculty can be from group case consults.
