Waylon McLeod

I am fortunate to live, work, and play on the unceded territories of the Yuułuʔiłʔath and Tla-o-qui-aht peoples (Ucluelet, B.C.).

With over 20 years of experience, I have had the opportunity to support children, youth, and families in various contexts, including mental health services, recreational programs, school-based initiatives, non-profit organizations, and direct government services. For the past decade, I have held the position of Youth and Family Counsellor at a non-profit organization located on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, where I serve several remote communities.

My practice integrates breathwork, meditation techniques, and land-based healing with a Somatic Experience (SE) approach, which aids individuals in developing inner resilience while promoting healing from within. I commenced my SE training in 2023 and obtained my SEP certification in January 2025.

The SE methodology has had a profound impact on both my personal and professional life. As I take on the role of an SE training assistant, I am excited to support and learn alongside all of you. In my free time, you can find me surfing, freediving, hiking, practicing yoga, or getting my hands muddy with pottery.
