Shaina Loos

I have been practicing as a massage therapist since 2013, completed my training in Somatic Experiencing in 2018, and received my SEP in 2019. I have also completed Kathy Kain’s “Touch Skills for Trauma Therapists” in 2019. My training in Somatic Experiencing deeply informs my massage practice, and has a positive impact on my life both personally and professionally. I have experience teaching and supervising students in the Langara College massage therapy program. My focus areas of my practice are prenatal and postpartum individuals, including healing from birth trauma and pregnancy loss, chronic pain, recovery from motor vehicle accidents and other high impact trauma, and bodywork to support trauma recovery, grief, depression, and anxiety. Recently my biggest project has been parenting a small human – my son is a toddler now and he teaches me so much every day about being embodied and present and joyful. In my free time I enjoy cooking, yoga, hiking, camping, and dancing.
