Jen Holm

I am a trauma counsellor in Victoria, British Columbia, on beautiful Vancouver Island. I live with my two beautiful children, and our dear sweet dog. When I’m not working, I can usually be found hiking a local trail, or enjoying family time in our cozy home. I completed my Child & Youth Care undergraduate degree at the University of Victoria in 2005, and am registered with the Canadian College of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists (CCPCP). I have been working for a local non-profit family counselling agency for more than 16 years, and opened a small private practice three years ago. Over the years, I have had the privilege of supporting children and youth, families, individual adults, and groups in areas including parenting and attachment, family conflict, domestic violence, trauma, mental health and addictions. After many years of working with traumatized people, I recognized my limitations and sought out training in Somatic Experiencing®, completing my SEP requirements in April 2020. This training has been a game changer, personally and professionally. It breathed new life into my practice, allowing me to offer the gift of relief from suffocating trauma symptoms in a way I was not able to previously. I am honoured for the opportunity to assist and reciprocate the incredible support I received throughout my own training, and look forward to connecting with all of you along the way!
